Our story began in 2020, when menuPe was first introduced as "Catriu." As we started working with a handful of pioneering restaurants, the unexpected arrival of the COVID-19 pandemic and subsequent lockdown brought significant challenges. Like many businesses during that time, we faced unforeseen hurdles, including the inability to secure funding.

During this period, major players like Zomato and Paytm launched their own digital menu solutions for restaurants, intensifying competition in an already challenging environment. After careful consideration, we made the difficult decision to pause operations temporarily.

However, this experience only strengthened our resolve. With a renewed vision and a deep understanding of the industry’s needs, we re-emerged as menuPe — a dedicated, user-friendly, and completely free digital menu solution tailored for small to mid-sized cafes and restaurants. Today, our mission is to empower businesses with accessible technology that enhances the dining experience, without the burden of additional costs.
